What is a Grand National sweepstake?
A Grand National sweepstake is a random draw where each player is assigned one or more horses from the declared runners. The player whose horse wins the race, places, or does best according to your group rules wins the sweepstake.
How do you run a Grand National sweepstake?
Once the runners are declared and the draw opens, add each player by name and press Run Draw. Every player is randomly assigned a Grand National runner without needing slips of paper, a spreadsheet or manual setup.
Is the Grand National sweepstake draw random?
Yes. The declared Grand National runners are shuffled randomly before being assigned. In the standard draw, a runner can only be assigned once until the field has been used.
How are Grand National horses assigned?
The full runner list is shuffled, then dealt to players in order. This gives each horse an equal chance of landing with any player and keeps the draw fair for offices, pubs, families and friends.
Can I run a Grand National sweepstake at work?
Yes. A Grand National sweepstake is popular for offices because it is quick to set up and easy for non-racing fans to follow. The organiser can share the completed draw link with everyone taking part.
Can players get more than one horse?
Yes, if your group has fewer players than runners, you can agree to give some players multiple horses or run a full-field draw when that option is available. The page will make the included runner list clear before the draw.

The planned Grand National draw will follow the same pricing model: free for up to 4 players, with larger or full-field draws unlocked by a one-off £1.99 payment and no subscription.
